Joe Lunardi’s Latest Bracketology Has Oklahoma State as First Team Out of NCAA Tournament

We have known for the last couple of weeks that the Oklahoma State Cowboys have been on the bubble of the NCAA Tournament, but now, they’re literally the team on the bubble, at least according to ESPN’s Joe Lunardi.
Lunardi released his most recent bracketology on Monday evening and he had the Pokes moving up to being not just in the “First Four Out”, but the first team in the “First Four Out” at No. 69 of the 68-team NCAA Tournament.
On Sunday, Lunardi’s most recent Bracketology had the Cowboys moving up from the “Next Four Out” to the “First Four Out”. Head coach Mike Boynton is in his sixth season with the Cowboys and has only made one NCAA Tournament.
Oklahoma State will play on Wednesday night in the Big 12 Tournament as the No. 7 seed, and if they win that game against the Oklahoma Sooners, they will have to then take on No. 2 seed Texas at 6:00 p.m. CST on Thursday in the Big 12 quarterfinals.
The two Big 12 teams who are not in discussion for an NCAA Tournament berth are Texas Tech and Oklahoma, both of whom would have to run the table to make the Big Dance.
The Big 12 Tournament gets underway on Wednesday night, while Selection Sunday takes place on Sunday, March 12th, at 5:00 p.m. CST on CBS.
