Kansas, Texas Lead Odds to Win 2023 Big 12 Basketball Tournament

The Big 12 Basketball Tournament is set to get underway on Wednesday, with the Kansas Jayhawks looking to defend their tournament title from a year ago, as well as make a run to win their second consecutive national championship.
Well, Vegas likes Bill Self’s squad to at least repeat their success in Kansas City this weekend and hoist the Big 12 Tournament Trophy for the 13th time.
According to BetOnline, the Jayhawks are the odds-on favorites to win this week’s tournament, coming in with 3/1 odds (+300).
As a virtual lock for a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament, it should come as no surprise that Kansas is favored to win the tournament championship this weekend, but with a host of projected two-seeds behind them, it won’t be an easy task for KU.
The Texas Longhorns, who are ranked seventh nationally in this week’s AP Top 25, come into Kansas City with the second-best odds to win the tournament, at 15/4 odds (+375). Behind the Longhorns for the third-best odds of winning the tournament trophy is TCU at 9/2 odds (+450), edging out higher seeds Kansas State (+700), Baylor (+475), Iowa State (+750) in the process.
From there, the odds get pretty long as Bob Huggins’ Mountaineers are 14/1 (+1400) to win it all, ahead of both Oklahoma (+3300) and Oklahoma State (+3300) at 33/1 odds.
Finally, Texas Tech comes in at 40/1 (+4000) to win the tournament with head coach Mark Adams suspended due to a “racially insensitive” comment to a player.
