Oklahoma State had a great week of baseball and the biggest example of that can be seen in their sweep of the weekly Big 12 Conference softball awards.
Infielder Micaela Wark earned Big 12 Player of the Week honors while teammate Lexi Kilfoyl earned the title of Big 12 Pitcher of the Week.
The Oklahoma State Cowgirls softball team is having a great start to their season as they are currently ranked third in the nation with an outstanding 18-1 record. Following their 6-0 shutout against South Dakota State, an 11-2 win against Tarleton State, and another 4-0 shutout against South Dakota State, the Cowgirls are in a great position to continue their hot start.
The only loss for the Cowgirls came against Maryland on February 12th in a 6-11 grind of a game that saw Oklahoma State fall for the first time this season. Since then, the group is 16-0 and have their eyes set on a three-game series against the Florida State Seminoles starting on March 10th.
The Big 12 Honor Award winners look to continue to lead their team on the diamond this season and with more tough teams on the schedule ahead, the team will be tested every step of the way.
