Kansas, Texas Lead Big 12 With Fourth-Best Odds to Win NCAA Tournament

The 2023 NCAA Tournament field is set and seven Big 12 basketball teams are set to participate in March Madness this season.

And while there was some drama around the Kansas Jayhawks not getting a No. 1 seed in the Midwest Region, where they could have ended up playing in Kansas City, KU is still a No. 1 seed in the West Region and have the fourth-best odds to win the NCAA Tournament, according to BetOnline.

However, the Jayhawks are joined by Texas, the team to hand them their last two losses, as the team with the fourth-best odds to win the 2023 NCAA Tournament.

 

Texas is fresh off a Big 12 Tournament title on Saturday in Kansas City, in which it defeated Kansas 76-56 to be crowned the Big 12’s hottest team.

The Jayhawks and Longhorns trail only Alabama (+500), Houston (+550), and UCLA (+1100) with +1200 odds to win the tournament this year,.and are in a three-way tie for the fourth-best odds with Purdue.

The Baylor Bears have the 12th-best odds of winning March Madness, with 25/1 odds (+2500), with the next Big 12 team being TCU at 50/1 (+5000).

Just behind the Horned Frogs a couple of spots is three-seed Kansas State, at 60/1 (+6000) odds. Iowa State (+8000) and West Virginia (+10000) round out the Big 12’s contenders for the 2023 National Championship.
