Kansas’ Gradey Dick, Baylor’s Keyonte George Slated as Lottery Picks Per The Ringer

Regardless of all the NCAA Tournament results, the Big 12 Conference plays the best brand of basketball, and a couple projections as lottery picks are really good evidence of that. The Ringer just released its latest NBA Draft projections, and both Kansas guard Gradey Dick and Baylor guard Keyonte George are listed within the Top 11.
By the publication, Dick is projected to go No. 9 to the Orlando Magic, who boast both that selection and the No. 7 pick.
“With a second lottery pick, courtesy of the Bulls, the Magic could add a shooter like Dick, who could thrive next to Orlando’s long list of talented teammates,” wrote The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor. “With Franz Wagner and Wendell Carter, Dick would be in an ideal setting to maximize his skills as a movement scorer.”
George, meanwhile, is slated to go two places later, per O’Connor.
“George has seen his stock slip a bit this season as he’s struggled to produce in multiple major competitions, including in Baylor’s early flameout this March,” O’Connor wrote. “But he still deserves lottery consideration for his scoring upside and underrated auxiliary skills.”
This season, Dick finished second on the Jayhawks with 14.1 points per game while shooting it at a 48.4% clip, including 44.2% from beyond the arc. He also averaged 5.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.4 steals per game.
George, who did slow down at times from a production standpoint, still also finished second among three 15-plus-point scorers for the Bears, with 15.3 points per game. He added 4.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists per contest to his tally while shooting it at 42.4% and 37.6% from outside.
The 2023 NBA Draft is set for Thursday, June 23. Both of them will obviously hear their names called in it, and likely quite high.
