Watch: Kansas Football Team Wants to Fill Allen Fieldhouse to Support Women’s Basketball in WNIT

One thing about college sports that fans everywhere can get behind is the bond between sports teams at a University. This week the Kansas Jayhawk football team is going to bat for the Women’s basketball team in an effort to fill Allen Fieldhouse for the Jayhawks matchup on Wednesday night against Washington.
The Kansas Jayhawks women’s team is in the middle of an impressive run in the WNIT Tournament and after taking down the Arkansas Razorbacks, the team is moving on the the Fab Four.
For the third straight game, the Jayhawks led wire-to-wire on Sunday, never once falling behind the Razorbacks in a convincing win and leading by as many as 21 at one point. Kansas held Arkansas to 37 percent shooting from the floor and 30 percent shooting from deep. The Jayhawks also outscored the Razorbacks 46-26 in the paint of the Great Eight matchup per the universities website.
Kansas is moving onto the Fab Four of the WNIT, where the Jayhawks will face the Washington Huskies, who beat Oregon 63-59 on Sunday evening to advance to the semifinals.
The University’s students, athletes, and fans are making it their mission this season to pack the Fieldhouse for the women as they continue their run towards the WNIT Tournament championship.
