Three-Star QB Connor Moberly Commits to Iowa State

NCAA Football: Iowa at Iowa State

The Iowa State Cyclones landed a new quarterback prospect in three-star QB Connor Moberly. The new addition to the Cyclones comes after his historic state championship run in Des Moines.

Moberly is now heading to Ames, which is just 30 minutes away from his hometown. He made the announcement on Twitter.

Moberly, a 6-foot-4 product from the 2024 class, is graded as a three-star prospect from 247Sports. After being recruited primarily by Iowa schools, Moberly elected to join Iowa State over Iowa, Northern Iowa and Tulane. The Iowa product is listed as the 857th-ranked player nationally, the 53rd quarterback in the nation, and the 11th-best player in the state of Iowa.

Moberly joins an Iowa State team that underwhelmed in the 2022-2023 season, finishing with an overall record of 4-8 and 1-8 in conference. Iowa State has four recruits for the 2024 Class that is ranked 45th in the nation, according to 247Sports. Of course, it’s still incredibly early and Matt Campbell’s staff has plenty of time to fill out next year’s recruiting class.
