Kansas Quarterback Ethan Vasko to Enter Transfer Portal

NCAA Football: Kansas at Baylor

While the Kansas Jayhawks are one of the budding programs in the Big 12 Conference, they are losing a piece in freshman quarterback Ethan Vasko.

Vasko decided to enter the transfer portal in the offseason and look for greener pastures leaving behind Lance Leipold and the Kansas Jayhawks in hopes of finding

Vasko is ranked as a three-star recruit out of Virginia, who sits as the 1562nd player in the nation, the 97th quarterback in the nation, and the 43rd player in the state of Virginia.

Before committing to Kansas, Vasko was being recruited by the Buffalo Bulls, the UConn Huskies, Columbia Lions, Pennsylvania Rams, and the Old Dominion Monarchs. Originally, Vasko committed to Old Dominion before receiving an offer from Kansas. Shortly after he got word of Leipold’s offer, he then decommitted from Old Dominion and jumped ship for Kansas.

Vasko didn’t see the field much in his first year with the Jayhawks and only put together a stat line of three completions for nine yards. While the Jayhawks did lose Vasko to the transfer portal, Kansas does have some high level recruits joining in to fill the spot. Vasko transfers as a freshman with many more years ahead.
