Cowboys Add Top Recruit Eric Dailey Jr. to the Roster

The highest-ranked recruit for the Oklahoma State Cowboys’ Top 10 recruiting class is officially in the fold. They inked Top 50 power forward Eric Dailey Jr., head coach Mike Boynton and the Cowboys announced Wednesday.
“I’ve known Eric for most of his life and I am beyond thrilled that he has chosen to become part of our program along his life’s journey to become a pro,” Boynton said. “Eric’s parents have raised a hard-working, respectful and goal-oriented young man who possesses a high-level desire to succeed. He wants his team to win more than anything and has always been a great teammate,” Boynton said.
Dailey, who comes from a basketball family and possesses an innate versatility to star at the collegiate level, picked the Pokes over fellow major suitors Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan and several other big time programs.
“He is a really dynamic playmaker with the ability to create shots for himself and his teammates,” Boynton said. “We look forward to his versatility on both ends of the court.”
Dailey jumps aboard an Oklahoma State class that features USA U18 teammate and McDonald’s All-American Brandon Garrison, out of Del City, Okla., along with a pair of Top 150 sensations in Justin McBride, out of Plano, Texas, Jamyron Keller, from Killeen, Texas and Connor Dow, from Broken Arrow, Okla.
The Cowboys’ 2023 recruiting class stood in the Top 10 of both the Rivals (No. 9) and ESPN (No. 10) team rankings, which marks the second time since 2020 that Boynton and his staff have put together a Top 10 class. Their No. 11 ranking per 247Sports is the highest they’ve ranked in that since the publication started releasing rankings back in 2011.
