Texas Lands Minnesota Transfer DL Trill Carter

NCAA Football: Texas at Iowa State

After losing Keondre Coburn to the 2023 NFL Draft, the Texas Longhorns will be looking for another force in the middle of its defensive line this season and may’ve just found it.

Former Minnesota Golden Gopher defensive lineman, Trill Carter has landed in Austin following his decision to transfer away from the twin cities.

Carter was a productive player in Minnesota racking up some impressive stats. Carter logged three sacks, 40 tackles, and one interception in his time as a Golden Gopher, and now with one year of eligibility remaining, he plans to play for one of the biggest brands in college football

Carter joins one of the best-built rosters in the country with a top three recruiting class that brought in players like five-star plus quarterback Arch Manning, five-star linebacker Anthony Hill, five-star running back Cedric Baxter Jr, and five-star receiver Johntay Cook II.

Steve Sarkisian’s squad has been one of the most talked about teams of the offseason, and with so much hype building for the Longhorns, Carter enters at the perfect time.

The Longhorns kick their season off on September 2nd against Rice and then start Big 12 play up on September 23rd against Baylor.
