Four-Star TCU WR Jordan Hudson Enters Transfer Portal

TCU wide receiver Jordan Hudson entered the transfer portal on Tuesday morning, according to a report from 247Sports’ Chris Hummer.

Hudson, listed at 6-1, 180 pounds, was the “crown jewel” of TCU’s 2022 class, ranking as the No. 92 overall player in the country, according to 247Sports.

As a true freshman, Hudson shined when given an opportunity, turning 14 receptions into 174 yards and three touchdowns.

The sophomore wideout was expected to be a major part of the Horned Frogs’ offensive game plan in 2023, with TCU’s top three pass catchers from last year moving on for multiple reasons.

However, the Garland (TX) native will try to carve out a role on another team this summer, leaving Sonny Dykes and company to fill a void at wide receiver without its most talented youngster in tow.

According to Hummer, SMU and Arizona State are expected to be the early favorites to land Hudson, with several other suitors likely to kick the tires on the sophomore talent.

Before signing with TCU, Hudson was committed to the SMU Mustangs, and then head coach Sonny Dykes made the switch to TCU. According to 247’s records, Hudson was the sixth-highest-ranked recruit to ever sign with the Horned Frogs.

Now, with a transfer rating of 93, Hudson is one of the top transfer wide receivers in the 2023 transfer class.
