2024 Four-Star EDGE Travis Jackson Commits to TCU

Sonny Dykes and TCU are starting off their weekend right after receiving a commitment from four-star edge rusher Travis Jackson out of Tyler (TX).

The Tyler Legacy junior is listed at 6-4, 240 pounds and is the No. 28 EDGE and No. 369 overall prospect in the Class of 2024, according to On3. Jackson is also one of the top players in the state of Texas, coming in at No. 60 in the Lone Star State.

Jackson took a visit to Fort Worth last week and clearly saw what he needed to feel comfortable with being a Horned Frog for the next three to four years.

Jackson joins TCU’s 2024 class as the highest-ranked commitment so far, with Aledo (TX) three-star QB Hauss Hejny and Woodlands (TX) three-star OT Ryan Hughes onboard as well. As things stand, TCU’s class ranks 40th overall and eighth in the Big 12, according to On3.

Sonny Dykes is coming off a strong finish to the 2023 season, signing a top-20 class in the nation and the No. 3 class in the Big 12 after making a run to the National Championship game.

Now, with plenty of spots on the roster to fill, Dykes will hope to continue stacking talent as the Horned Frogs try to establish themselves as a perennial power in the Big 12.
