Former TCU WR Jordan Hudson Receives Interest from Oklahoma, West Virginia in Transfer Portal

NCAA Football: Texas Christian at Colorado

For TCU Horned Frogs fans, this title may be a sore subject. After losing one of the highest wide receiver recruits in program history, fans not only have to deal with his departure, but also the possibility of him joining another Big 12 team.

After entering the transfer portal on April 18, Hudson has heard from multiple teams in the college football landscape, including Georgia, Penn State, Mississippi State, Colorado, Michigan State, Oklahoma, West Virginia and more.

The reality of losing a player like Hudson is a hard pill to swallow on its own, but the reality of seeing Hudson suit up for the Sooners or Mountaineers will be much worse for Horned Frogs fans.

Hudson is ranked as the 10th overall prospect in On3’s 2023 Transfer Portal Rankings, and coming out of high school Hudson was a premiere talent. Hudson was ranked as a four-star prospect, as well the 70th overall player and the ninth receiver in the class of 2022 by the On3 Industry Rankings. With his decision to commit to TCU, the Horned Frogs wide receiver room landed a big play maker.

TCU has one of their highest-ranked recruiting classes in program history this season, which should help fill the void left by Hudson. Wherever Jordan Hudson lands, he’s sure to be must-see TV, especially if he lands in the Big 12 Conference.
