Bijan Robinson Favored to Win 2023 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Award

NCAA Football: UL Lafayette at Texas

Former Texas running back and Atlanta Falcons first round selection Bijan Robinson is favored to win 2023 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, according to BetOnline. The service has Robinson with 3/1 odds to take down the award this upcoming fall, ahead of quarterbacks and next closest suitors Bryce Young, at 9/1, and Anthony Richardson and CJ Stroud, both at 15/2.

Others higher up in the mix include wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba (9/1), running back Jahmyr Gibbs (12/1) and wide receivers Zay Flowers (12/1), Quentin Johnston (16/1) and Jordan Addison (18/1).

The Falcons took Robinson with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft Thursday evening in Kansas City. And Robinson has all the intangibles to not only be a day-one starter, but a highly impactful one, bringing elite athleticism to the franchise.

“Sometimes you can’t pass up those guys,” said his former running back coach at Texas, Tashard Choice. “You can’t pass up Barry Sanders if he’s sitting there.”

Robinson is esteemed coming out of the collegiate game. He just finished up a marvelous career on the Forty Acres in which he racked up 3,410 yards and 33 touchdowns on 539 carries. He added another 805 yards and eight scores on 60 receptions out of the backfield. And now he’s set to bring all that production to Atlanta.
