Patrick Mahomes’ Brother Arrested on Suspicion of Aggravated Sexual Battery

Patrick Mahomes has become the face of the NFL over his short stint in the league, already winning two Super Bowls before the age of 28.

With his rise to fame, Mahomes has been an incredible spokesperson for Kansas City and the surrounding community, but his younger brother, Jackson, hasn’t been quite as graceful.

In fact, Patrick’s younger sibling has been quite distracting since he became an internet celebrity thanks to his brother’s success on the field. On multiple occasions, Jackson has been surrounded by controversy for pouring water on Kansas City fans and dancing on the memorial for late Washington safety Sean Taylor, among others.

Now, Jackson Mahomes is wrapped up in controversy once again, but this time its a much more serious allegation.

According to a report from TMZ, the 22-year-old social media star was accused of sexually and physically assaulting the owner of the Aspens Restaurant and Lounge in an incident that occurred back in February.

As the report states, Mahomes was booked around 7:45 a.m. on Wednesday and his bond was set at $100,000. According to court records, he’s been charged with three counts of aggravated sexual battery and one count of misdemeanor battery.

Jackson was first accused of assault by the restaurant owner, Aspen Vaughn, and a waiter in a report by The Kansas City Star in March.

Mahomes’ attorney Brandan Davies denied the allegations at the time.

“Jackson has done nothing wrong,” the attorney said. “Our investigation has revealed substantial evidence refuting the claims of Jackson’s accuser including the statements of several witnesses. We have reached out to law enforcement to provide the fruit of our investigation so that they may have a complete picture of the matter.”

This is a developing story that will have more details as they emerge.
