Kansas Jayhawks Women’s Basketball 2023-24 Offseason Roster Tracker

The Kansas Jayhawks are working on assembling their 2023-24 women’s basketball roster and we’ll track every move here throughout the offseason.
Departures
F Ioanna Chatzileonti: The forward missed some time this past season due to injury and missed the WNIT title run. When she played, she played more than 20 minutes. She transferred to Oklahoma State.
F Katrine Jessen: After three seasons with the Jayhawks and struggling to get playing time, she opted for the transfer portal and went to Missouri State.
G Bella Swedlund: A key part of Kansas’ 2022 recruiting class, she opted for the transfer portal before the season ended and is now at Toledo.
G Mia Vuksic: The junior did three seasons with Kansas and transferred to San Francisco after the season.
In the Transfer Portal
G Sanna Strom: After two seasons with Kansas, the Sweden native is looking for a new school.
Expected to Return
G Wyvette Mayberry: Mayberry transferred to Kansas before last season from Tulsa and moved into the starting lineup. She averaged 11.4 points and nearly three assists.
C Taiyanna Jackson: The All-Big 12 First-Team selection and 2022 Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year said she would return for one more season back in April. She averaged 15.2 points and 12.7 rebounds per game, one of a handful of players nationally that averaged a double-double.
G Holly Kersgieter: She announced that she would return for one more season as a result of a COVID waiver. The All-Big 12 selection averaged 13.8 points and a team-leading two steals per game a season ago.
C Danai Papadopoulou: The little-used center will seek more playing time next season behind Jackson. She played in three games.
G Zakiyah Franklin: The guard announced she would return for another season after she averaged 15.7 points, which led the team in scoring. Franklin also led the team with 3.1 assists.
G Breeley Oakley: She was a junior college transfer who didn’t play last season.
F Zsófia Telegdy: Another forward that will be looking for more playing time next season, she played in 32 games and made one start, but only played an average of eight minutes per game.
G Chandler Prater: Prater has more eligibility and will return next season. She averaged 9.5 points last season.
C Nadira Eltayeb: She will be looking for more than the five minutes per game she played last season.
C Chisom Ajekwu: Ajekwu is a four-year player for Kansas, but because she started her career in 2019-20 she has a COVID waiver to use. Ajekwu was honored on Senior Night.
Class of 2023 Recruits
