Watch: Markquis Nowell’s Flashy Pass at NBA G League Scrimmage

NCAA Basketball: NCAA Tournament East Regional-Michigan State vs Kansas State

Former Kansas State point guard, Markquis Nowell took the college basketball world by storm in the 2023 NCAA Tournament with a combination of flashy passes, clutch shots, and stellar defense.

Nowell is now transitioning into the NBA lifestyle and as one of the players invited to scrimmage in the NBA G league workouts, Nowell can be seen continuing the same story in a different place.

Participating in the NBA G League Elite camp for players to showcase themselves before the NBA Draft, Nowell can be seen in the video above threading the needle between his legs to Gonzaga’s Anton Harrison.

Nowell was one of the best players in the Big 12 Conference last season for the Wildcats earning First-Team All-Big 12 honors alongside teammate Keyontae Johnson. Spectacular passes aren’t uncommon for Nowell as last season he was second in the nation with 8.3 assists per game.

Nowell’s game got some major press throughout the March Madness Tournament as he broke the tournament record for most assists in a single game with 19 against Michigan State. During the Wildcats Elite Eight run Nowell led the team with 23.5 points, and 13.5 assists per game. If Markquis Nowell wants to continue his story of proving people wrong who passed on him, showing out in the G League workouts is a great start.
