After months of silence from Moussa Cisse in the transfer portal, the 7-foot-1 forward has a new home with Chris Beard at Ole Miss.
Cisse was one of the quieter additions in the transfer portal this year, but with the physicality and effort he gives on a nightly basis, Beard got a great one amid the transfer portal frenzy.
Cisse was one of the better big men in the Big 12 Conference last season at Oklahoma State, averaging 6.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game. Cisse is a two-time transfer after starting his career with Memphis, then transferring to Oklahoma State, and now finding himself with Ole Miss, he will need to get a waiver approved by the NCAA to see the court this season, but that should go through relatively smoothly.
After many fans wondered where Cisse would call home, the senior forward heads to Oxford to team up with former Texas coach, Chris Beard who was fired amid allegations for an alleged domestic dispute early on the 2022-23 season.
The senior from Guinea joins the rebels with two seasons of eligibility left but if Beard can get Cisse back into his freshman/sophomore self it is fair to assume that he would test the NBA waters.
