Kansas Transfer Ernest Udeh Jr. to Visit K-State, TCU

Kansas forward Ernest Udeh Jr.

Former Kansas Jayhawk, Ernest Udeh Jr. announced that he would be taking three official campus visits following his decision to enter the transfer portal last week, spending time at Duke, TCU, and K-State.

The five-star center elected to transfer following the Jayhawks’ decision to bring in one of the best players in the transfer portal, Hunter Dickinson, as well as multiple other high-profile players.

Coming out of high school, Udeh was listed as a four-star prospect by On3 Industry Rankings and also became the third Jayhawk from the 2022 cycle to land in the top 50. Udeh joined MJ Rice and Gradey Dick in the top 50 sitting as the 33rd-ranked player in the nation, the sixth-ranked center, and the eighth-ranked player in the state of Florida.

Udeh is a hot commodity in the portal due to his unique size and athleticism, as well as being a favorite of the Kansas coaching staff. While it’s not always the case, whenever a player from Kansas, Kentucky, Duke, North Carolina, or any other “blue blood” program hits the portal, usually it’s a common occurrence to see a frenzy of scholarship offers to follow.

The freshman from Florida is set to tour Duke tomorrow and plans to visit TCU and K-State following the end of the dead period.
