Kansas Transfer Zuby Ejiofor Commits to St. Johns

One of the multiple former Jayhawks in the transfer portal has a new home with sophomore forward Zuby Ejiofor committing to Rick Pitino and St. Johns.
Ejiofor didn’t see the floor much for the Jayhawks in his first season in Lawrence averaging 1.2 points, and 1.7 rebounds per game in 130 minutes of basketball for Kansas.
St. Johns has been one of the biggest winners in the transfer portal this offseason, as Ejiofor joins the eighth-ranked class in the nation of transfer portal additions. The Red Storm has added seven recruits this offseason with a mix of star guards like Jordan Dingle from Penn, and big-name forwards like Glenn Taylor from Oregon State.
Coming out of high school, Ejiofor was graded as a four-star prospect by 247Sports, as well as the 47th-ranked player in the nation, the fifth-ranked power forward in the country, and the sixth-best player in the state of Texas.
247’s Brandon Jenkins raved about Ejiofor coming out of high school saying, “Ejiofor is an athletic physical force to be reckoned with. He is strong, productive on the glass, talented, and increasingly versatile offensively from 20 feet and in. His versatility is in his offensive approach. He likes to post up or face up and attack to score through contact. Ejiofor has a college-ready body in which he relies on physicality to compensate against others who are taller and longer.”
Ejiofor becomes the fourth five-star recruit to team up with Rick Pitino in the transfer portal as St. Johns continues their domination this offseason.
