Watch: Patrick Mahomes Repping Texas Tech at Training Camp

While Patrick Mahomes is one the biggest names in professional sports, the former Red Raider QB stays connected to his roots and shows off his love and passion for his college in any way he can.

With the Kansas City Chiefs heading to St. Joseph Missouri for the start of training camp, Mahomes was spotted wearing a Texas Tech jacket and repping his former school upon arrival at Chiefs camp.

While fans of the Big 12 have kept tabs on Mahomes since the Chiefs traded up to select the quarterback in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Texas Tech product has campaigned for Big 12 sports and been a vocal supporter of the Conference across social media and in multiple public appearances.

After leaving Texas Tech to pursue his dreams of becoming a starting quarterback in the NFL, Mahomes has quickly become one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time and has become the face of the National Football League.

The Big 12 Conference continues to develop quarterbacks into NFL talents each season and if you need more evidence of that fact, look no further than championship weekend in the NFL. Mahomes was one of three Big 12 quarterbacks suiting up on championship weekend with Jalen Hurts and Brock Purdy also taking the field. As the Big 12 Conference continues to grow, the league has a high-profile fan in Patrick Mahomes.
