K-State Baseball Fans React to NCAA Tournament Snub

The Kansas State Wildcats Baseball team narrowly missed out on a bid to be a part of the 2023 NCAA Tournament on Monday morning, and after not hearing the Wildcats announced in the NCAA Tournament selection show, fans have been up in arms.
With comments from Big 12 fans, K-State fans, and college baseball fans in general all banding together to call out the NCAA, we wanted to put together a list of some of our favorite reactions.
K-State fans everywhere have been chiming in on the conversation surrounding the NCAA’s selection committee with many fans even mentioning that it’s time to protest the sport. While I don’t think that will make much of a difference in the eyes of the NCAA, I do think that the Wildcats were more than deserving of a bid.
Kansas State’s spot was more than likely stolen by a combination of Oklahoma (31-26) and Tulane (19-40) who both made the tournament despite having statistically worse seasons than KSU (35-24). In the Green Wave’s defense however, they did win the AAC tournament.
The Wildcats now find themselves on the outside looking in of the NCAA Tournament for the second straight year under head coach Pete Hughes, and while the Cats season may not have gone as far as fans hoped, the future looks bright in Manhattan.
