Four-Star CB Austin Alexander Commits to Kansas

NCAA Football: Texas at Kansas

The Kansas Jayhawks landed a massive name in the class of 2024 with the commitment of four-star cornerback Austin Alexander.

Alexander was a coveted prospect from Chicago Heights, Illinois with offers from 13 different schools including USC, Michigan, Michigan State, Indiana, Wisconsin, Purdue, and more. He joins the Jayhawks as their top prospect in the class of 2024.

Alexander is listed as a four-star prospect in the class of 2024 by the 247Sports index and currently ranks as the 411th overall prospect in the nation. He also checks in as the 40th-ranked corner in the nation as well as the 9th-ranked player in the state of Illinois.

The Illinois native joins Lance Leipold and the Jayhawks, a team on the rise following their first trip to a bowl game since the 2012 season. Leipold has rebuilt the program from the top down in Lawrence including better high school prospects, better transfer portal players, upgraded facilities, and a reliable coaching staff giving Jayhawks fans everywhere a long overdue gift, confidence.

Austin Alexander is set to step onto campus in the 2024 season, joining Kansas defensive coordinator Brian Borland in hopes of revamping their defense, and competing for a Big 12 title.
