West Virginia Lands 2024 Safety Keelan Flowe

NCAA Football: Kansas State at West Virginia

West Virginia got some good news on Tuesday morning, as 2024 safety prospect Keelan “KJ” Flowe chose the Mountaineers as his college destination after high school.

The Charlotte (NC) native is listed at 6-0, 170 pounds and despite not being officially rated by recruiting sites, has an impressive offer sheet. Flowe chose the Mountaineers over offers from Virginia Tech, Appalachian State, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, Georgia State, James Madison, Jackson State, Liberty, Marshall, Old Dominion, and UNLV.

“They took a chance on me, so I can take a chance on them,” Flowe told Mountaineers Now. “I feel like I can be a really good safety for them or wherever they want me to be.”

After taking a recent visit to Morgantown, Flowe raved about the experience and people that made West Virginia the place for him.

“Everything was great! I really love everything,” Flowe said. “The coaching staff, the people in Morgantown, and the team there. They just bond differently. It’s just like a brotherhood how they all welcome each other!

Flowe marks the seventh commitment for the Mountaineers’ 2024 class, which ranks seventh in the Big 12 for the cycle. Neal Brown and company have now secure four commitments in as many days, with Flowe joining Elijah Kinsler (Three-Star DL), Kyle Altuner (Three-Star IOL), Obinna Onwuka (Four-Star EDGE) as players who have committed since Friday.
