Texas Running Back CJ Baxter Sings Karaoke to Recruits

Texas running back, CJ Baxter made headlines on Saturday during the first official Texas weekend visit for recruits in the class of 2024 by singing karaoke to each of the families of the prospects in Austin.

Baxter took to the stage to sing Burn by the talented artist, Usher, and while the top running back in the class of 2023 may not be the main reason for any incoming commitments for the Longhorns, the performance from Baxter was certainly the cherry on top.

Outside of his karaoke skills, Baxter is one of the top prospects in the class of 2023. The Florida native is graded as a five-star prospect by the 247Sports index, as well as the 30th-ranked prospect in the nation. He also checks in as the top running back in the class of 2023, and the eighth-ranked player in the state of Florida.

From fast cars to karaoke nights, Steve Sarkisian is doing just about everything he can to land top recruits. Baxter and the Longhorns kick their season off on September 2nd against Rice, in hopes of winning their first Big 12 title since the 2009 season.
