Texas Tech Lands 2024 Three-Star RB J’Koby Williams

The Texas Tech Red Raiders added their second player of the day to their 2024 class of incoming freshmen with the commitment of three-star running back, J’Koby Williams.
Williams joins the Red Raiders after receiving offers from 12 different schools, five of which are current members in the Big 12 Conference including Texas Tech, Baylor, Houston, TCU, and Texas.
Williams is listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index, as well as the nation’s 517th-ranked player in the class of 2024. He also checks in as the 46th-overall athlete in the country, and the 89th-ranked prospect in the state of Texas.
Williams had a high-school career full of accomplishments as he ran for 4477 yards and 66 scores in his first three years at Beckville high school. He was also a productive member of the passing game in high school as he added 1543 receiving yards and 21 scores during his first three seasons of football.
He becomes the Red Raiders’ second commit of the day in the class of 2024 joining four-star wide receiver Tyson Turner in Lubbock. The Red Raiders kick their season off on September 2nd against the Wyoming Cowboys, giving both Turner and Williams a chance to see Joey McGuire and their future team in action.
