The TCU Horned Frogs stayed hot on the recruiting trail over the weekend, as they added another blue-chip piece to their 2024 class on Sunday.

Four-star running back prospect Jeremy Payne announced his commitment to the Horned Frogs on Sunday afternoon, marking their fourth commitment of the week.

Payne is listed at 5-10, 170 pounds and is listed as the No. 16 running back in the class of 2024, according to 247Sports. The Missouri City (TX) product has over 20 offers from Division I programs, including Oklahoma, Oregon, Baylor, Auburn, Texas A&M, and Wisconsin.

Payne announced his commitment on Sunday afternoon vis Twitter, sending TCU fans into a frenzy as they’ve added yet another promising piece to the puzzle for 2024.

Payne is listed as the No. 218 overall prospect in the country, and the No. 41 overall prospect in the state of Texas. With Payne joining four-star RB Nate Palmer, TCU has a pair of top 35 running backs to lean on as the future of their backfield.

With Payne’s addition, TCU is now up to the No. 45 overall class in the nation with only eight prospects committed. If they continue to recruit at their current pace, there’s no reason a top 25 class isn’t attainable for Sonny Dykes and Co.
