Three-Star RB Dylan Lee Commits to Iowa State

NCAA Football: Fiesta Bowl-Oregon vs Iowa State

The Iowa State Cyclones landed their first running back recruit in the class of 2024 with the commitment of three-star running back Dylan Lee.

Lee turned down offers from nine other schools outside of the Big 12 including Arizona State, UNLV, and Utah State to team up with Matt Campbell and the Cyclones in Ames.

Lee is listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index and checks in as the nation’s 1079th-ranked recruit overall. He also is listed as the 81st-ranked running back in the class of 2024, and the 23rd-ranked prospect in the state of Arizona.

It didn’t take the Arizona native long to announce his decision as Lee finished up an official visit to Iowa State on Sunday afternoon. The three-star running back took to Twitter late on Sunday night and announced his plans to head to Ames in the 2024 season.

Lee joins the Cyclones 2024 class of incoming freshmen which ranks 40th in the nation after landing a total of 10 three-star prospects. While the class of 2024 has to wait on the sidelines for one more season, Matt Campbell and the Cyclones kick their 2023 season off against UNI on September 2nd in hopes of rebounding from the previous 4-8 season.
