Oklahoma Lands Commitment from 2024 Three-Star WR Dozie Ezukanma

NCAA Football: Baylor at Oklahoma

The Oklahoma Sooners are starting to see returns from their massive recruiting weekend known as “ChampU BBQ,” with three-star WR Dozie Ezukanma picking the Sooners on Tuesday.

Ezukanma was one of two commitments on Tuesday night, with four-star LB James Nesta committing just moments after Ezukanma made his decision public.

A product of Keller Timber Creek High School in Forth Worth (TX), Ezukanma is listed at 6-2, 180 pounds, and ranks as the No. 81 wideout in the nation and 102nd ranked recruit in the state of Texas, according to On3.

Ezukanma chose Oklahoma over an impressive list of suitors, including Texas Tech, Arkansas, Oregon, Texas A&M, and Miami, among others.

Oklahoma wide receiver coach Emmett Jones coached Ezukanma’s older brother, Erik, during his time at Texas Tech. Now, Jones will get to work with Dozie at OU, while Erik continues to develop his craft with the Miami Dolphins.

With the addition of Ezukanma, and the aforementioned James Nesta, the Sooners’ 2024 class now has eight total commits, moving them up to No. 16 in the nation, according to On3.

With several more big names potentially on the board for the Sooners over the coming weeks, Nesta could be the first domino to fall in a cascade of good news for Oklahoma fans.
