The Oklahoma State Cowboys landed their 10th commitment in the class of 2024 with the commitment of three-star linebacker Gunnar Wilson.

Wilson committed to Mike Gundy and the Cowboys over 12 different programs including Arkansas State, Toledo, Texas State, UTSA, and North Texas. With his commitment to OSU, he joins a cast of 10 other prospects set to join the Cowboys in the 2024 season.

Wilson is listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index, the 119th linebacker in the class of 2024, and the 182nd-ranked player in the state of Texas. He becomes the Cowboys’ second commitment of the afternoon joining OL Chauncey Johnson who committed just one hour prior.

Wilson told 247Sports about his recruitment process saying, “I just like the culture there. I like Coach Gundy. I like what they do there. They have a winning program. They’re always consistent, and they have people drafted.”

While the Texas native is listed as a linebacker, he also logged snaps at a tight end, safety, and on special teams last season at Melissa high school in the Cardinals 11-3 Texas 5A-D2 quarterfinals season. The athletic playmaker is set to join the Cowboys on campus in 2024 in hopes of competing for a Big 12 title alongside one of the best coaches in the conference.
