Four-Star S Peyton Morgan Commits to Texas Tech

NCAA Football: Montana State at Texas Tech

The Texas Tech Red Raiders are on a hot streak of landing top recruits in the 2024 cycle with the most recent addition being four-star safety Peyton Morgan.

Morgan joins the Red Raiders after receiving offers from 18 different teams including six schools from the Big 12. Baylor, Houston, Kansas, Kansas State, and TCU all gave Morgan an offer but with a heavy push from Joey McGuire and his staff, Morgan will head to Lubbock in 2024.

Morgan is listed as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports index and currently ranks as the nation’s 310th-overall prospect. He also checks in as the 30th-ranked safety in the class of 2024 and the 52nd-ranked player in the state of Texas.

Texas Tech’s 2024 class continues to take leaps and bounds forward as Morgan becomes the Red Raiders fifth four-star commit. He joins players like DE Cheta Ofili, OT Ellis Davis, QB Will Hammond, WR Tyson Turner, and a mixture of 10 different three-star prospects.

Peyton Morgan and the rest of the class of 2024 will have an opportunity to watch their new team play on September 2nd when Joey McGuire and Texas Tech take the field for the first game of the season against Wyoming at 6:30 PM CST.
