SEC Media Days Headed to Dallas in 2024: Report

According to a report from Brett McMurphy of Action Sports, SEC Media Days will be held in Dallas in 2024.

Traditionally, SEC Media Days have been held in Birmingham, Alabama at The Hyatt Regency Birmingham, its home from 2001-17, and again in 2021.

In 2018 and in 2022 SEC Media Days was held at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2023, the event is being held at the Grand Hyatt in Nashville, Tennessee, where things got kicked off on Monday morning.

SEC Media Days is a four-day event that brings college football analysts, journalists, and pundits together in one place to give a comprehensive look into the upcoming season for each of the conference’s 14 (soon to be 16) programs.

The SEC is home to the last four national championships, with Georgia winning each of the last two titles in 2021 and 2022, Alabama claiming the title in 2020, and LSU winning it all in 2019.

With college football right around the corner, media days like this provide fans their first real look at each program since football activities shut down in the spring.

Texas and Oklahoma both made their final appearances at Big 12 Media Days this past week in Arlington and will officially join the SEC on July 1, 2024, ahead of SEC Media Days. The Omni Hotel in Dallas (TX) has been announced as next year’s venue, marking the first time that SEC Media Days has landed in the Lonestar State.

With plenty of exciting changes coming to the SEC landscape, most notably the addition of the Sooners and Longhorns, it feels appropriate for Dallas to be next year’s site for the SEC’s biggest media event of the year.
