Brent Venables and the Oklahoma Sooners added another receiver in the class of 2024 with the commitment of wideout Jacob Jordan.
Jordan joins the Sooners after receiving offers from seven schools including Oklahoma, Texas Tech, North Texas, Tulsa, Western Kentucky, Fordham, and Arkansas Monticello.
While Jordan is currently unranked by most major prospect services, he is fresh off a productive season at Southlake Carroll High School in Southlake Texas, where he put up 64 catches for 1,202 yards and 16 scores. In his two seasons of football, he has totaled 109 grabs for 1,672 yards and 20 touchdowns.
He joins the Sooners 16th-ranked recruiting class in 2024 and becomes the 15th signee for the program. The class currently ranks seventh in the SEC with a combination of one five-star prospect, nine four-star prospects, and five three-star or lower prospects.
Jacob Jordan will get a shot to watch his new team play its final season of Big 12 football in 2023 before heading to Norman to join the Sooners in the SEC for the 2024 season. Oklahoma kicks the season off on September 2nd against Arkansas State in Norman.
