Kansas Basketball Announces Home-and-Home Series with North Carolina

NCAA Basketball: Final Four-National Championship-Kansas vs North Carolina

Kansas and North Carolina, two of the biggest brands in college basketball history have officially agreed on a two-game home-and-home series against one another.

The first matchup of the series will take place in Lawrence on November 8th, 2024 at Allen Fieldhouse before the two teams clash at The Dean E. Smith Center in Chapel Hill on November 14th in the 2025 season.

 

Kansas head coach Bill Self spoke on the matchup of college basketball heavyweights saying, “These will be two great games from programs whose rich histories are intertwined so much. It will be a special day in both Chapel Hill and Lawrence when we play and I am looking forward to it.”

The Jayhawks and Tar Heels are two of the most established programs in all of college basketball as the Jayhawks have the most wins in the history of the sport 2,385 wins and the Tar Heels sit two spaces behind Kansas with 2,347 wins.

Both Kansas and North Carolina have given some of the best collegiate and professional athletes and coaches including Michael Jordan, James Worthy, Bob McAdoo, Vince Carter, Wilt Chamberlin, Jo Jo White, Danny Manning, Paul Pierce, Dean Smith, Roy Williams, James Naismith, Bill Self, Phog Allen, and more.

The two clash for the first time on November 8th, 2024 at Allen Fieldhouse where the two esteemed programs will face each other to kick off their home-and-home series.
