Bronny James Collapses on Court With Cardiac Arrest, In Stable Condition
Southern California guard Bronny James, son of basketball legend LeBron James, had a terrifying medical emergency yesterday being rushed to the hospital after collapsing on the court during practice with a cardiac arrest.
James was rushed to the intensive care unit after going unconscious during a scheduled USC team practice on Monday where trainers and staff helped to treat Bronny until they were able to transport him to the hospital. James has officially been discharged from the ICU and in stable condition as of Tuesday morning.
Athletes collapsing is always a horrible situation no matter how news breaks, but with Bronny James being discharged from the ICU on Tuesday, things are at least back on the right path for the USC guard.
While no two situations are exactly alike, Bronny James’ medical emergency feels reminiscent of former Kansas State forward, Keyontae Johnson, who collapsed during a game at Florida before being rushed to the ICU, and getting diagnosed with a condition called athlete’s heart.
James and the Trojans are set to play their first game of the season on November 6th against Kansas State in Las Vegas, and while many fans are eager to see Bronny step on the court for the first time as a college athlete, the most important matter at hand is getting his health under control.
