Five-Star WR Micah Hudson Arrives in Lubbock for Official Visit
Joey McGuire and the Red Raiders have been hot on the recruiting trail this offseason, and while the program has already landed some notable players in the class of 2024, Texas Tech has a top 10 player in Lubbock for an official visit this weekend.
Five-star wide receiver Micah Hudson is one of the nation’s top players in the 2024 cycle, and after a successful first season under Joey McGuire at Texas Tech, Hudson is considering a move to Lubbock to headline the Red Raiders’ class of 2024.
Hudson is listed as a five-star prospect by the 247Sports index and currently ranks as the ninth-overall prospect in the class of 2024. He also checks in as the second-ranked wide receiver in his class and the second-ranked player in the state of Texas.
With his second visit to Lubbock underway, Hudson has officially completed visits at Texas Tech on March 25th, Texas A&M on March 22nd, and Texas on June 15th. The top prospect has been one of the most productive players in the country during his high school career as he snagged 132 catches for 2,515 yards and 29 receiving touchdowns in three seasons at Lake Belton. He also was a productive contributor in the ground game rushing 107 times for 1,085 yards and 10 scores.
While Hudson has expressed interest in Texas Tech, Alabama, Texas, and Texas A&M, the Red Raiders seem to be leading the pack in Hudson’s eyes, and in the event that the Joey McGuire can land a commitment from the Texas-native, McGuire will have more than earned a spot among the leagues best recruiters.
