Houston Coach Dana Holgorsen Seen Wearing Viral Big Hat
After leaving the Big 12 Conference in 2018 to accept the head coaching job at Houston, one of the most electric coaches in the conference is back with Dana Holgorsen back on the scene.
The Cougars’ head coach has an interesting relationship with social media so whenever Holgorsen does show up on the app, it’s sure to make news one way or another. Houston football posted a photo of Dana Holgorsen sporting a custom Houston version of the viral “big hats” on Saturday.
The viral big hat trend was popularized by Washington Commanders’ running back Brian Robinson who sported the hat in a post-game interview following a 19-13 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Robinson mentioned in his interview that his friend owns a big hat company and if anyone wants one, they should, “let him know.”
Robinson’s friend, Gabe Cooper who founded the company Noggin’ Boss went on Shark Tank to pitch his idea for the viral hats and ended up making a deal with Daymond John. After the endorsement from Robinson, sales for the company reportedly spiked a whopping 2,000%.
With Holgorsen joining in on the trend, he adds another viral photo of himself to the archives joining a viral photo of himself sitting on a throne of Red Bull released on June 30th. Business is booming for the Houston football team.
