Colorado became the first team to jump from the Pac-12 to the Big 12 last week, perhaps indicating a sign of the times for George Kliavkoff and company.

By all accounts, the Big 12 isn’t done adding teams to its membership for 2024 either, and another Pac-12 school has been named Brett Yormark’s primary target.

247Sports’ Brandon Marcello says that Arizona is the top target for the next school to land in the Big 12, and that certainly tracks, if you look at the odds.

According to Bookies.com, the Wildcats come in as the betting favorite (+325) to be the next team to make the jump to the Big 12.

Just behind Arizona are Utah (+400) and UConn (+400), followed by Arizona State (+500). From there, things get a little dice, as there’s not another Pac-12 school listed, and an ACC team even makes the list.

San Diego State (+550) has the fifth-best odds to be the next team to join the Big 12, even though the Pac-12 will desperately try to land the Aztecs in hopes of staying afloat.

The odds jump considerably for the next team, with Louisville (+1500) coming in as the team with the sixth-best chance of landing in the Big 12. The final team listed by Bookies.com is Memphis, with +1700 odds of making the jump to the Big 12.

Interestingly, “The Field” was listed with the sixth-best odds on the list as a whole, giving teams like Oregon and Washington a decent betting shot of landing in the conference as well. With realignment and expansion back in full swing once again it’ll be interesting to see how things break out with the Big 12 now shopping in Pac-12 territory.
