2024 Four-Star WR Ric’Darious Farmer Commits to UCF

The UCF Knights added another player to their class of 2024 with the addition of four-star wide receiver Ric’Darious “DayDay” Farmer.
Farmer elected to team up with Gus Malzahn and the Knights after receiving offers from 16 different programs including West Virginia, Iowa State, Michigan State, Missouri, Penn State, Texas A&M and more.
Farmer is listed as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports index and currently ranks as the nation’s 359th-overall prospect. He also checks in as the 57th-ranked receiver in his class and the 52nd-ranked player in the state of Florida.
247Sports’ director of scouting, Andrew Ivins, broke down the Florida native saying, “A productive inside receiver that excels in catch-and-run situations. Spent junior season as the go-to target for a Cocoa program that captured a Florida 2S state title, totaling 938 yards and 10 touchdowns on 63 receptions in a pass-happy spread attack. Wins time and time again with strong hands and crafty route running, which is important because heâs not the biggest of pass catchers (measured roughly 5-foot-11, 160 pounds in Spring of 2022). Does a majority of his damage in the middle of the field as he shakes defenders with head fakes, jabs of the feet and double moves before securing the football and searching for more green grass. Doesnât have much of a track or multi-sport background, but did clock the seventh-fastest 40-yard dash as an underclassmen at a camp loaded with future Power Five skill players. Should be viewed as a potential difference maker in the slot.”
The Knights continue to improve their stellar recruitment this offseason as Farmer becomes the sixth four-star prospect in UCF’s class of 2024. He joins WR Kylan Fox, OL Waltclaire Flynn, RB Stacy Gage, LB Qua Birdsong, and S Jakob Gude as top prospects heading to Orlando in the near future.
