Watch: Former Alabama RB Keilan Robinson Tells Bama Recruits to Come to Texas

Texas’ Week 2 win over Nick Saban and Alabama was one of the biggest wins of the last decade for the program, and while it can be easy to overreact to the outing, one big takeaway from the game came through the eyes of several Alabama recruits in attendance.

Texas running back Keilan Robinson spent his freshman season in Tuscaloosa with Saban and the Crimson Tide, and after dethroning his former team on Saturday night, Robinson ran to the student section to tell all of Alabama’s high school recruits in attendance to come to Texas.

The Longhorns handled the college football blueblood with relative ease on Saturday in what felt like a comfortable win against an Alabama team struggling to figure out answers at the quarterback position. While QB play was suspect for Saban’s bunch in the matchup with the Longhorns, Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers shined in Texas’ 34-24 win, lighting up the Crimson Tide defense for 349 passing yards and three scores against one of the best secondaries in all of college football.

While Texas has a ton of momentum heading into their Week 3 matchup with Wyoming and into Big 12 play on September 23rd, inflated expectations have been the downfall of the Longhorns before, and if Sarkisian’s squad is truly going to contend for a Big 12 title this season, Ewers’ stellar play will have to continue throughout conference play.
