Texas Tech QB Tyler Shough’s Dog Murphy Earns NIL Deal

Despite being sidelined with an injury after starting the first four games of the 2023 season, Texas Tech quarterback Tyler Shough is continuing to find a way into headlines.
Shough and his dog Murphy recently partnered with Wagbnb, a boarding and doggy daycare center in Lubbock, in a new NIL deal with both Tyler Shough and Murphy representing the company.
While NIL Deals are usually exclusive to the athletes that agree on the deal, Shough’s dog Murphy is able to stay at Wagbnb during away games for free along with receiving all of the treats and love that Murphy can handle.
On3’s Jeremy Crabtree recently spoke to the owner of Wagbnb, Steven Quisenberry, to discuss the deal and hear the ins and outs of the agreement.
“We contacted Tyler about that to see if we could actually use Murphy’s name, image, and likeness for our own marketing,” Quisenberry said. “Wagbnb has 55 employees, most of them which are college students. We’re very passionate about Tech and pets and thought it was a great opportunity to include Murphy in an NIL deal.”
Murphy’s next stay at Wagbnb will take place on Saturday, October 21st when the Red Raiders hit the road to Provo to take on the BYU Cougars.
