Big 12 Football Spreads Announced for Week 9
With Week 8 of the college football season officially in the books, we now take a look ahead at Week 9 which features some of the great games of the 2023 season. Big 12 lines in the upcoming week have been listed courtesy of Circa Sports, and with that said, here is a look ahead at some of the Big 12 lines for Week 9 of the college football season.
BIG 12 WEEK 8 LINES
UCF -6 vs. West Virginia
Kansas +10 vs. Oklahoma
Baylor -3 vs. Iowa State
Kansas State -14 vs. Houston
Texas -16 vs. BYU
Oklahoma State -7 vs. Cincinnati
The largest line of the weekend in the Big 12 was awarded to the game between the Texas Longhorns and the BYU Cougars as the Longhorns are currently listed as 16-point favorites at home. Steve Sarkisian’s squad narrowly escaped the Houston Cougars in Week 8 with a 31-24 win but has the advantage of returning home to take on BYU. The Cougars enter the matchup following a big win over Texas Tech to become the second of the new four schools with a win over a legacy Big 12 team this year with the Cougars rolling to a 27-14 win.
The smallest line of the weekend was awarded to Saturday’s matchup between Baylor and Iowa State which is currently listed in favor of Baylor -3. The Bears have been pretty inconsistent so far this season and will have their hands full when facing a hot Iowa State team, but nevertheless, they earned the nod over Iowa State with the help of home-field advantage.
While the Week 9 games should feature some tightly contested matchups, the real winners of the weekend are college football fans who get to watch their teams take the field in hopes of contending for a league title.
