Texas Longhorns flag runners sprint across the back of the end zone after scoring a touchdown, and following Jonathan Brooks’ nine-yard score in the third quarter, the flag runners misspelled ‘Texas’ as ‘Txsae’.
The Longhorns entered the week facing one of their biggest tasks of the season in the form of Chris Klieman and the Wildcats as the two programs faced each other both ranked inside the top 25 for the first time since the 2012 season.
The Longhorns jumped out to an early lead with some solid throws from Maalik Murphy and entered halftime with a 10-point lead over Kansas State.
While everything’s bigger in Tsxae certainly has a wordier ring to it than everything’s bigger in Texas, the Longhorns found their way into a tight contest with Kansas State down the stretch.
The Wildcats cut the Longhorns’ lead to six following a bad interception from Maalik Murphy in the fourth quarter. While Texas’ struggles have emerged a bit in the second half, the Longhorns flag runners will have an opportunity to respond to adversity the next time they take the field.
