Oklahoma State Leaps Two Big 12 Teams in Top 25 of Week 11 AP Poll

After a wild week of Big 12 football, with several underdogs winning on Saturday, there were some major shake-ups across the AP Poll this week.
Four Big 12 teams are ranked this week, with the Oklahoma State Cowboys making their season debut on the list at the No. 15 spot. Their opponent in Week 10, the Oklahoma Sooners, dropped from No. 10 to No. 17. Texas remained in the same spot at No. 7 while Kansas rounded out the list climbing to No. 19.
Things started early on Saturday morning with multiple big games to follow. Texas outlasted Kansas State 33-30 in overtime in the first game of the day, while Oklahoma State earned the win over Oklahoma in the last game of the Bedlam series, 27-24. Houston then took down Baylor 25-24 in the second overtime outing of the week while the UCF Knights earned their first conference with with a 28-26 win over Cincinnati. West Virginia crushed BYU 37-7 in blowout fashion with a new quarterback under center in Provo. Lance Leipold and the Kansas Jayhawks finished things off with a 28-21 win over Iowa State to round out the weekend.
Kansas State (73) and West Virginia (3) also received votes in this week’s poll.
