2024 Three-Star Guard Brooks Bahr Commits to BYU

Mark Pope and the BYU Cougars added a new name to the Class of 2024 with the commitment of three-star guard Brooks Bahr.
Bahr chose the Cougars over the likes of Wake Forrest, Utah, USC, and St. Mary’s which all four made Bahr’s final five cutdown list.
Bahr is listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index and currently checks in as the nation’s 132nd-ranked prospect. He is also listed as the 17th-ranked combo guard in his class as well as the eighth-ranked player in the state of Texas.
Recruiting analyst Brandon Jenkins spoke on the Cougars’ commit saying, “Bahr is a sturdy-built skilled guard with a tremendous feel for the game. While he does not consistently blow by defenders, Bahr is elite at changing speeds. He plays angles well to find ways to get two feet in the paint. He is a tremendous facilitator off penetration and does a great job of finding his teammates in the drive, draw, and kick game.”
Bahr and the rest of the Cougars’ 2024 class will get a opportuntity to watch their future team take the court for the first time in the 2023-24 season as BYU gets set to take on Houston Christian at 8:00 PM CT on ESPN+.
