Kansas State, Kansas Flip in Top 25 of Week 12 AP Poll

After a wild week of Big 12 football, with several underdogs winning on Saturday, there were some major shake-ups across the AP Poll this week.
Four Big 12 teams are ranked this week, with the Texas Longhorns remaining the league’s highest rank team at No. 7. Oklahoma climbed back up a few spots to the No. 14 spot while Oklahoma State plummeted from No. 15 to No. 24. Kansas State checked back into the AP Top 25 at No. 23 while Kansas fell out of the poll.
Things started early on Saturday morning with multiple big games to follow. Texas Tech stole a huge upset on the road against No. 19 Kansas 16-13, while Kansas State destroyed Baylor 59-25. Oklahoma State was crushed by UCF in the second upset of the day 45-3. Oklahoma continued the trend of lopsided wins beating West Virginia 59-20. Cincinnati earned their first conference win on Saturday night with a 24-14 win over Houston. Texas then narrowly escaped TCU with a 29-26 win before Iowa State capped off the night with a 45-13 blowout over BYU.
Kansas (83) also received votes in this week’s poll.
