Jason Bean Tells Kansas Fan He Will Play vs. Kansas State

One of the biggest questions of the week heading into the Sunflower Showdown is whether or not Kansas quarterback Jason Bean is going to play.
While it’s not official, Bean did allegedly tell a Kansas fan on Friday night that he is going to play on Saturday. See the post below that is going viral as of Friday night.
Told him I was so proud of him.

Asked if he was going to play tomorrow and he said, “Yes, ma’am.”

The Kansas Jayhawks are coming off a gut-wrenching loss to Texas Tech in Week 11, a 16-13 defeat that all but eliminated them from Big 12 title contention heading into Week 12.
Bean left the game with a head injury and did not return, leaving KU to roll with Cole Ballard at quarterback. The freshman struggled in his first meaningful snaps of college football, as most anyone would, completing nine of 20 attempts for 124 yards and one interception, with three sacks taken on the day.
Heading into the Sunflower Showdown against Kansas State, the Jayhawks need to have an experienced quarterback under center if they have any hopes of ending a 14-game losing streak to the Wildcats, and it appears like, if what Bean said is accurate, he’s a go on Saturday.
The Jayhawks are looking for their first eight-win season since the Mark Mangino era and can get there with one more victory this season. Doing so against their bitter in-state rival whom they haven’t beaten since 2008 would make it that much sweeter for the folks in Lawrence.
Kansas and Kansas State are scheduled for a 6:00 p.m. CT kickoff on FS1.
