AP Top 25 Women: Kansas State Gives Big 12 Four Ranked Teams

The Big 12 managed to get four teams in the AP Top 25 Women’s Basketball Top 25, released on Monday after Week 2 of the season.
Those teams included:
Texas at No. 12 (No. 11 last week);
Baylor at No. 14 (No. 20 last week);
Kansas State at No. 16 (receiving votes last week).
Oklahoma at No. 22 (No. 25 last week);
Texas (4-0) had an undefeated week, which the Longhorns wrapped up with a 96-44 win over LA Tech. This week the Longhorns are headed to the Paradise Jam at St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, where they will play Arizona State, High Point and USF.
Baylor (3-0) beat No. 4 Utah, 84-77, on Tuesday and then ended the week with a victory over Harvard, 81-71. Baylor is off until Friday when it hosts McNeese, followed by a Sunday home game against Alcorn State.
Oklahoma (5-0) swept the week, defeating Alabama State at home, 92-46, and Virginia on the road, 82-67. The Sooners will spend the holiday at the Fort Myers Tip-off in Fort Myers, Fla., as they’ll face Princeton on Thursday and Tennessee on Saturday.
Kansas State (4-0) is coming off a big week. First, they upset No. 2 Iowa in Iowa City, 65-58 on Thursday, followed by beating Wisconsin at home, 75-57. Kansas State is at the Gulf Coast Showcase in Estero, Fla., this weekend, where they’ll face Western Kentucky on Thursday and either North Carolina or Vermont on Friday.
There is a chance Kansas State could face Iowa again in that tournament’s final.
