How To Watch Big 12 Biggest Women’s Basketball Games For Week 3
The Big 12 women’s basketball season hits Week 3 on Monday with games around the country and many teams heading to Thanksgiving weekend tournaments.
Here’s the complete schedule, how to watch each game and, if you’re so inclined, the three must-watch games of the week.
Oklahoma State vs. Ohio State
How To Watch: 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, FloHoops (at Nassau, The Bahamas)
It’s that time of year when you get the one-year FloHoops subscription and cancel it after Feast Week. This is a great opportunity for Oklahoma State to prove it can beat a Top 25 teams. The Cowgirls have already proven they can hang with a Top 25 team (Colorado). The Buckeyes give them a chance to get a big win for the NCAA Tournament resume.
Kansas vs. Virginia Tech
How to Watch: 4 p.m., Friday, FloSports (at George Town, Cayman Islands)
Kansas gets UConn after the Hokies, and I think this is the game in which the Jayhawks have the better chance to pull off the upset. They’ve already lost to one Power 6 team (Penn State). They don’t want to more as they head into December.
Oklahoma vs. Tennessee
How to Watch: 12:30 p.m., Saturday, Women’s Sports Network (at Fort Myers, Fla.)
Women’s Sports Network is a thing (it’s linked above). This game should be better exposed, given that it’s a likely matchup of Top 25 teams. Any time you get a chance to play the Lady Vols, you get a chance to measure your team’s development. In fact, it will be the third such measuring stick game for the Sooners early this season.
Also: Just a note. It’s possible that Kansas State and Iowa could meet again if each wins their first two games in their tournament this week. Just something to keep track of.
