Hunter Dickinson Responds to Samuel Jackson’s Twitter Criticism

While legendary actor Samuel L. Jackson took to social media to call out Kansas center Hunter Dickinson for flopping, Dickinson responded after seeing the tweet go viral.

Jackson made headlines on Wednesday by calling out Dickinson saying, “Damn, this Dickenson MF on @KUHoops flops like he’s on a Soccer Pitch!!!”

Jackson’s tweet came in response to another viral moment from Kansas’ time in the Maui Hoops invitational where Dickinson attempted to draw a foul against Marquette by falling to the ground.

Dickinson was asked for a response to Jackson’s tweet on the Roundball Podcast alongside Barstool Sports’ Marty Mush and mentioned that he considered responding on social media.

“I know. It’s kind of tough,” Dickinson said. “I’ll let Samuel have his moment. But if you see all the replies, it’s all like Kentucky, Michigan State, Illinois, Marquette. It’s a lot of fan bases coming together to rejoice. It is what it is.”

Dickinson continued by saying, “The tweet I was going to tweet out is, like, ‘All publicity’s good publicity.’ You’ve got to take the good with the bad, I guess.”

While the Virginia native has been known to sell a foul or two in his time with Michigan, Kansas’ center has been playing some All-American level basketball to start the season. Dickinson is currently averaging 21.2 points and 12.7 rebounds per game on an impressive 65.8% shooting from the field.

Dickinson and the Jayhawks hit the court after Thanksgiving break on Tuesday, November 28th against Eastern Illinois in Lawrence.
